Position Overview:

An "Operations Head" is responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of a beverage manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production, quality control, compliance with regulations, and cost optimization, by managing production lines, supply chain logistics, workforce planning, and maintenance activities, while upholding high standards of safety and hygiene within the beverage production process.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Production Management:
  • Oversee daily operations on the production floor, including scheduling, monitoring production targets, and resolving production issues.
  • Manage and optimize production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the production cycle, including quality checks and testing.
  • Implement process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.
  • Supply Chain Management:
  • Manage raw material inventory levels, procurement, and supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate logistics for finished product distribution and delivery to customers.
  • Monitor and optimize inventory management practices.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and motivate a team of production supervisors, operators, and maintenance personnel.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to ensure team competency and adherence to safety procedures.
  • Manage staff scheduling and performance evaluations.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.
  • Oversee safety protocols on the production floor to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.
  • Cost Control:
  • Monitor and manage operational costs, including raw materials, labour, utilities, and maintenance expenses.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize resource utilization.
  • Maintenance and Engineering:
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs for production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and implement necessary equipment upgrades.


Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in engineering, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in beverage manufacturing operations, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, quality control procedures, and food safety regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
