Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Legal Officer with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing legal counsel, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and representing the company in legal proceedings. The Legal Officer will work closely with internal stakeholders to mitigate legal risks and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide legal advice and support to various departments within the organization.
  2. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  3. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  4. Conduct legal research to stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the company.
  5. Collaborate with external legal counsel as necessary.
  6. Manage and resolve legal disputes, including litigation if required.
  7. Work closely with the compliance team to develop and implement compliance programs.
  8. Review and advise on company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
  9. Assist in the development and delivery of legal training programs for employees.
  10. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in corporate law.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Law; additional certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.
  2. Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience as a Legal Officer or in a similar legal role.
  3. Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
  4. Experience in drafting and negotiating a variety of legal documents.
  5. Excellent research and analytical skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  9. Experience in litigation and dispute resolution is a plus.
  10. Membership in a recognized bar association.
