Overview:

The Wordpress Developer plays a crucial role in our organization, responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality WordPress websites. They will collaborate with the design and development teams to create custom themes and plugins that align with our company's needs and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the design team to implement attractive, user-friendly websites
• Develop custom themes and plugins to enhance website functionality
• Optimize websites for maximum speed and scalability
• Ensure high-performance and availability, and manage all technical aspects of the CMS
• Perform website updates, maintenance, and security patches
• Conduct quality assurance testing and troubleshooting
• Provide technical support and resolve issues for website users
• Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies
• Contribute to the development of best practices for the team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Participate in peer code reviews
• Proactively identify and address website security risks
• Ensure responsiveness of all web pages
• Work on continuous improvement of the website
• Assist in ongoing development and maintenance of the company's websites

Required Experience:

Good experience in WordPress including customizing WordPress Plugins, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), and other major plugins

Good experience in Developing and customizing WordPress themes

Strong knowledge of multiple front-end languages: HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and their libraries

Experience developing responsive design websites

Good experience in RESTful APIs and formats: JSON, XML

Experience working in Drupal or Joomla

Proficiency in at least one server-side technology: Java, PHP, NodeJS, Python, Ruby

Good knowledge of website accessibility and compliance

Good knowledge of best website security practices

Good knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and best practices

Good experience in following W3C standards

Video editing and graphic design skills are a plus and an added advantage

Familiarity with versioning tools such as Git
