Position: Compliance Manager
Job Location: Prahladnagar, Ahmedabad
Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Manager with expertise in both IT and non-IT compliance to ensure that our organization adheres to relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies. The ideal candidate will take a leadership role in implementing compliance strategies across technology systems and business operations while minimizing risk.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Compliance Responsibilities:
- Regulatory and Security Standards:
- Ensure compliance with IT frameworks and regulations, including ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, or equivalent.
- Implement and monitor policies for secure data handling, access control, and data retention.
- Oversee system hardening, vulnerability management, and incident response mechanisms.
- Audit and Evidence Preparation:
- Conduct internal audits of IT systems to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
- Prepare and maintain evidence for third-party audits, including access logs, backup testing reports, and security assessments.
- Help in responding to client queries related to IT security and compliance.
- Policy Management:
- Develop and enforce IT-specific compliance policies, including those related to change management, data encryption, and disaster recovery.
- Establish processes for regular review and updating of IT security policies.
- Collaboration with IT Teams:
- Work with IT teams to manage risk assessments and security controls for all software, infrastructure, and applications.
- Monitor compliance in cloud environments and third-party integrations.
- Incident Response Support:
- Contribute to developing procedures for logging, tracking, and investigating incidents.
- Assist in configuring and maintaining log management tools.
Non-IT Compliance Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to industry-specific regulations (e.g., labor laws, financial reporting requirements, data privacy laws).
- Develop a roadmap to meet evolving compliance requirements across the organization.
- Process Implementation:
- Implement internal controls to monitor and track compliance with organizational policies.
- Oversee compliance reporting and certification processes.
- Policy and Procedure Development:
- Draft and maintain non-IT policies such as anti-bribery, whistle-blower, and anti-harassment policies.
- Create training programs to educate employees on compliance protocols.
- Audits and Assessments:
- Conduct regular compliance audits for non-IT departments, including HR, finance, and operations.
- Manage responses to external audits, ensuring required documentation is prepared and submitted.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Law, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- 5+ years in a compliance-related role covering both IT and non-IT domains.
- Hands-on experience in managing compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2, or SOX.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, data privacy laws, and business process compliance.
- Familiarity with risk assessment and audit methodologies.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
