Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background experience in freight forwarding. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to increase revenue, market share, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
· Identify and qualify new business opportunities through research, networking, and prospecting.
· Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients and stakeholders.
· Team expansion.
· Collaborate with the sales team to develop proposals and presentations that align with client's business needs and objectives.
· Participate in industry events and conferences to promote the company and build relationships with potential clients.
· Improve profitability.
· Assist with Requests for Proposal (RFP's).
· Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for customer instructions.
· Collaborate with other departments, including operations and finance, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
· Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree. 7-10 years of experience in shipping and logistics, with a strong background in freight forwarding.
· Proven track record of developing and implementing successful business development strategies and achieving sales targets.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
· Strong customer focus and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
