Job Overview

Career mantra is seeking a dynamic Senior Android App Developer to join our team on a remote, contract basis. The position is based in Pune and suited for those with up to 10 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing innovative mobile applications that enhance our educational advisory services, aiding students in making informed academic choices.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in Java (Mandatory skill), demonstrating expertise in building robust Android applications.
• Strong command over Kotlin (Mandatory skill) to develop efficient, easy-to-maintain app functionalities.
• Proficient in collaboration tools and version control with github (Mandatory skill) for seamless team coordination.
• Comprehensive understanding of Android SDK to build high-performance applications that stand out.
• Experience with RESTful APIs allowing seamless communication between mobile apps and back-end services.
• Strong UI/UX Design skills to create intuitive user interfaces and exceptional user experiences.
• Proficiency in SQLite for efficient mobile data storage and management solutions.
• Proven ability to work independently and remotely without sacrificing productivity or quality.

Roles and Responsibilities

• You have 5 or more years of software development of which 3 or more years of native mobile development experience, (conceptualization, design, development and debugging)
• experience providing hands-on architectural design for native mobile applications with an understanding of design patterns such as VIPER, MVVM, Clean Architecture
• 5+ Years of professional software development experience in Android Studio
• Experience delivering Android applications built with Kotlin, Java, RxJava and Dagger
• Experience contributing to technical designs and solutions for mobile applications
• Strong focus on user interfaces using Jetpack Compose and a passion for great customer experiences
• Great communication skills with the ability to explain technical ideas to the Product and senior leadership teams
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GitHub
• Experience in integrating Third Party libraries and SDKs
• Experience building applications that consume web services and HTTP REST interaction with JSON
