CAPITOL HOSPITAL is seeking a dedicated Consultant Neurologist for a full-time, mid-level position. The successful candidate will be tasked with diagnosing, treating, and managing neurological disorders. The job requires a minimum experience of 4 years and a maximum of 6 years in the field. Qualifications and Skills
- Must possess a medical degree with specialization in neurology and relevant board certification.
- Comprehensive experience and proficiency in conducting EEGs to diagnose various neurological disorders.
- In-depth knowledge and capability in handling nerve conduction studies (NCV) for patient assessments.
- Strong leadership skills demonstrated in managing a medical team effectively within a healthcare setting.
- Exceptional individual counselling skills to guide patients and families through medical processes and decisions.
- Development of empathetic communication to enhance patient care and ensure patient understanding of treatment plans.
- Advanced time management abilities to efficiently handle multiple patients and administrative tasks without compromising quality of care.
- Proficiency in collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring comprehensive treatment approaches for patients.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of neurological conditions with professional expertise.
- Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests, including EEGs and NCVs, to form accurate medical assessments.
- Provide expert consultation and develop effective treatment plans in coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Perform regular follow-up assessments to monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatments as necessary.
- Participate in hospital rounds and contribute to team discussions aimed at improving patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about neurological conditions, treatment options, and ongoing care management strategies.
- Engage in continuous education and training to stay updated with advancements in neurological healthcare.
- Adhere to the hospital's policy for maintaining accurate patient records and confidentiality.
