Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Steward to join our team in South Goa, with locations in Kankon and Canacona. This full-time role is ideal for freshers, offering an excellent opportunity to begin a career in the hospitality industry. As a Steward, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting daily operations.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Customer Service (Mandatory skill): Exceptional ability to engage with customers, providing them with a positive and memorable experience during their visit.
  • Attention to Detail (Mandatory skill): Keen eye for detail to ensure all customer needs are met and service standards are maintained at the highest level.
  • Verbal Communication (Mandatory skill): Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members, ensuring clear and professional exchanges.
  • Food Safety Management: Understanding of food safety standards to ensure compliance and the hygiene and safety of food served to customers.
  • Point of Sale (POS) Systems: Familiarity with handling transactions efficiently and accurately through modern POS systems to facilitate customer purchases.
  • Time Management: The ability to perform duties promptly and manage task priorities efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Basic Inventory Management: Capability to assist in tracking and managing stock levels to ensure that supplies are adequately maintained.
  • Conflict Resolution: Skill in managing and resolving customer issues or disputes amicably to ensure customer satisfaction and workplace harmony.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up dining areas, arranging tables, and ensuring the cleanliness and neatness of service areas before, during, and after meal services.
  • Greet and seat guests promptly, providing them with menus and ensuring they are attended to swiftly and courteously.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and convey them to kitchen staff for preparation.
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently and accurately, maintaining a high standard of customer service throughout the dining experience.
  • Handle customer inquiries and provide information about the menu, offering recommendations when appropriate.
  • Monitor and ensure consistent compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Assist in the management of inventory by recording and reporting stock levels, ensuring sufficient availability of supplies.
  • Engage in team meetings and training sessions to continually improve service delivery and personal performance.
