Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our dynamic team at Camilsons Group in Benaulim, Goa. The ideal candidate should possess 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience and is expected to contribute to our team full-time. As a Junior Accountant, you will be working closely with our finance team to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with various accounting standards.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficient in tax preparation, including understanding and applying relevant laws, to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial documents.
  • Experience in auditing to systematically review records and operations, identifying discrepancies and areas for improvement.
  • Account reconciliation skills to align and verify the financial statements, ensuring that discrepancies are addressed and resolved.
  • Ability to perform comprehensive financial analysis to advise on financial strategies and future budgets.
  • Excel proficiency to create and maintain financial spreadsheets, analyze data, and generate reports efficiently.
  • TDS (Mandatory skill), with expertise in tax deduction at source calculations and filings, ensuring timely compliance.
  • GST (Mandatory skill), to skillfully manage the Goods and Services Tax, including filing requirements and regulations adherence.
  • VAT (Mandatory skill), ensuring proper management of Value Added Tax, helping to maintain compliance and efficiency in operations.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate accounting records for multiple companies within the group, ensuring all financial data is up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
  • Assist in preparing tax returns, making sure all applicable taxes such as TDS, GST, and VAT are calculated and filed correctly.
  • Conduct routine auditing of financial documents and processes, ensuring adherence to internal and external policies.
  • Reconcile subsidiary accounts, rectify discrepancies, and generate consolidated reports for management review.
  • Analyze financial statements to inform strategic planning and financial decision-making for the organization.
  • Collaborate with senior accountants and finance teams to support the preparation and presentation of financial reports.
  • Utilize Excel for data analysis, report generation, and maintaining organized records and documentation.
  • Stay updated on financial regulations and ensure that practices comply with all fiscal rules and legislation.
