Experience: 8 to 15 Years Relevant Experience in SAP ABAP & ODATA

 REST Full Programming model extensive experience and understanding

 Experience in OData and Gateway Framework

 Proficient in Data dictionary, Reports, BAPI, BADI and Enhancement framework, Classes and

OOABAP.

 Experience in workbench tools Eclipse, Web IDE and BAS

 Experience in Enhancement techniques of Object Oriented

 Good working experience in SAP ABAP RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions,

Enhancements and Forms).

 Experience in maintenance and tracing techniques of services

 Performance tuning techniques in SAP ABAP

Roles and Responsibilities:

 Development & Design:

o Lead and contribute to the design and implementation of SAP Fiori applications and

backend services using ABAP and RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model).

o Develop complex ABAP objects such as reports, interfaces, enhancements,

workflows, BAPIs, and function modules in alignment with business requirements

and technical specifications.

o Implement Fiori-based applications for both transactional and analytical purposes,

ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

o Utilize RAP and Cloud Foundry to create and extend applications for SAP S/4HANA

and SAP Fiori environments.

 Technical Expertise:

o Strong hands-on experience in ABAP development with a focus on RAP, Core Data

Services (CDS), OData services, and Fiori/UI5.

o Design and deploy CDS Views and integrate them with OData services to expose

business data in a seamless and scalable way.

o Expertise in integrating SAP applications with other systems through APIs, Web

Services, and IDoc.

o Ensure the efficient use of SAP HANA database features, applying performance

optimization techniques in ABAP and RAP developments.

 Mentoring & Leadership:

o Mentor and guide junior developers on best practices for ABAP and RAP

development, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuous learning.

o Provide technical leadership during solution design and implementation phases.

o Coordinate with cross-functional teams, such as SAP functional consultants and

solution architects, to ensure project success.

 Code Quality & Best Practices:

o Follow SAP best practices for coding and maintain high standards for code quality,

performance, and security.

o Conduct peer reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting for development issues.

o Perform unit testing, functional testing, and integration testing to ensure the quality

of delivered solutions.

 Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

o Work closely with SAP functional teams to understand business requirements and

translate them into technical specifications.

o Collaborate with end-users and business stakeholders to customize SAP solutions in

line with evolving business needs.

 Support & Maintenance:

o Provide post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for SAP

systems and applications.

o Ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of applications and systems in the

live environment.

Key Skills:

 ABAP Programming: Advanced knowledge of ABAP programming, ABAP OO, BADI, User

Exits, ALE, IDOC.

 RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model): Extensive experience in developing applications

using RAP for cloud-native applications, focusing on the integration with SAP S/4HANA.

 SAP Fiori/UI5: Hands-on experience with developing Fiori applications using SAP Fiori/UI5

and OData services.

 HANA Development: Expertise in developing CDS Views, AMDP, and using SAP HANA

specific features for data processing.

 API Integration: Experience in integrating SAP systems with third-party applications via APIs

and Web Services.

 Performance Tuning: Proficient in performance optimization techniques for both ABAP and

RAP applications.

 SAP S/4HANA: In-depth knowledge of S/4HANA functionalities and implementation.

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

 8+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with at least 2 years in RAP (RESTful ABAP

Programming Model).

 Strong understanding of SAP HANA, CDS, OData, and SAP Fiori.
