Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Governance Frameworks:

• Design, implement, and optimize data governance policies and procedures.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to define data governance principles and standards.
• Develop and manage a data governance strategy for clients, focusing on data privacy, security, and compliance.
• Conduct assessments of data governance maturity and provide actionable recommendations for improvements.

1. Data Quality Management:

• Lead initiatives to assess and improve data quality across the enterprise.
• Define, implement, and monitor data quality metrics and KPIs to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve data quality issues and implement best practices.

1. Technical Consulting & Solutioning:

• Provide technical expertise in the implementation of data governance tools and solutions.
• Act as a subject matter expert on SQL queries for data analysis, troubleshooting, and data reporting.
• Collaborate with cloud architects to design and implement data governance solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP).
• Ensure smooth integration of data governance frameworks with existing enterprise data systems.

1. Data Architecture & Cloud Technologies:

• Work with cloud-based data architecture solutions to ensure data governance standards are maintained in cloud environments.
• Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of data governance models within cloud ecosystems.
• Guide clients on optimizing cloud storage and processing of data with governance best practices.

1. Stakeholder Management:

• Collaborate with various teams including data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and senior management to align data governance strategies with business objectives.
• Provide training and support to teams on data governance best practices.
• Conduct workshops and create documentation for effective adoption of data governance policies.

1. Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data governance and quality management.
• Continuously assess and recommend improvements in data governance frameworks, tools, and technologies.
• Lead audits and reviews to ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: 7+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, and Data Management roles.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of SQL and proficiency in querying large datasets.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with data governance tools and platforms (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation).
• Understanding of data quality concepts and experience implementing data quality controls and audits.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to assess complex data issues and provide effective, sustainable solutions.
• Certifications (Optional but Preferred):
• Certifications in data governance, data quality, or cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer).
