Position Overview:
As an OCI WebLogic Administrator, you will be responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining the WebLogic infrastructure and applications deployed on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Your primary focus will be on ensuring the availability, reliability, and optimal performance of the WebLogic environment to support business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Oracle - WebLogic Server Administration:
Install, configure, and maintain WebLogic Server instances on OCI compute instances.
Create and manage WebLogic domains, including setting up server instances, clusters, and managed servers as required for application deployment.
Application Deployment and Management:
Package and deploy Java-based applications (EAR, WAR, or JAR files) to the WebLogic domain.
Monitor application performance and troubleshoot deployment issues.
WebLogic Environment Monitoring and Tuning:
Monitor the WebLogic environment using WebLogic Administration Console and OCI monitoring services.
Perform performance tuning and optimization to ensure optimal resource utilization and application responsiveness.
Security and Access Control:
Implement security measures, such as SSL/TLS for secure communications.
Set up user authentication, authorization, and role-based access control within the WebLogic environment.
Backup and Disaster Recovery:
Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies to protect the WebLogic environment and critical application data.
Regularly test and validate the disaster recovery process.
High Availability and Load Balancing:
Configure WebLogic server clustering for high availability and failover.
Set up and manage load balancers to distribute traffic across WebLogic server instances.
Patching and Upgrades:
Apply WebLogic Server patches, updates, and security fixes.
Plan and execute version upgrades as needed.
Incident Management and Troubleshooting:
Respond to incidents and outages related to the WebLogic environment promptly.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Automation and Scripting: Implement automation and scripting using WLST (WebLogic Scripting Tool) and other tools to streamline administrative tasks.
Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with application development, and infrastructure teams to resolve issues and improve system performance. Maintain detailed documentation related to WebLogic configurations, deployment procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
Work from Home (Consider only Bangalore Location Candidate)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3 to 5 Years of experience
Proven experience as a WebLogic Administrator, preferably in an OCI environment.
Solid understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and concepts.
Proficiency in WebLogic Server administration, including domain setup, clustering, and application deployment.
Experience with Java-based application deployment and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of security principles, SSL/TLS configurations, and access control within WebLogic.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Familiarity with monitoring and performance tuning tools for WebLogic environments.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
