The opportunity: The individual will play a key role in institution building. This is an opportunity to create the first alumni office at India’s pioneering university. The role entails building a cohesive identity for BMU’s alumni community and fostering strong relationships between the University and its alumni. The Asst Director/ Sr Manager alumni will assume senior leadership positions at BMU and lead the university in the future. Building this office and community is critical to BML Munjal University.
Reports to: Dean - SOET, BML Munjal University
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Create the first alumni office
2. Develop and execute a robust alumni engagement strategy
3. Develop platforms for alumni to engage with each other and the University – events, meet- ups, local chapters
4. Leverage alumni networks to support the University with internships, placements, mentorship etc.
5. Engagement strategy to mature to include alumni fundraising as an important element of University fundraising
Eligibility: 10 years experience in building alumni relations at other institutions, or related work.
Skills
1. 10 years core experience in people-interfacing roles
2. High quality English language skills (verbal and written)
3. Self-motivated and creative person
4. Excellent project and time management skills
5. Manage multiple stakeholders effectively – university administration, alumni etc.
