Job Overview

Blitz Academy is seeking a Junior Academic Counselor for our Bangalore location. This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 3 years of work experience. The Academic Counselor will play a pivotal role in guiding and advising students on academic matters, helping them achieve their educational goals and navigate their career paths.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven ability in career counseling (Mandatory skill)
• Experience in student advising with effective guidance techniques
• Proficiency in educational planning to assist students in course selection and career pathways
• Capability to provide academic support and address students' academic issues
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students and faculty
• Strong problem-solving skills to help students overcome challenges
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple counseling sessions efficiently
• Empathy and understanding to connect with students on a personal level and provide tailored advice

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to assist students with educational and career planning
• Advise students on academic courses, certifications, and program requirements
• Identify students' strengths and weaknesses through academic assessment
• Develop individualized plans to help students reach their academic and career goals
• Facilitate workshops and seminars to enhance students' academic experience
• Connect students with additional resources such as tutoring, internships, and professional opportunities
• Maintain detailed records of counseling sessions and student progress
• Collaborate with faculty and administrative staff to support student success
