Responsibilities:
- Botanical Sourcing and Evaluation: Scout, assess, and establish relationships with botanical suppliers to ensure a consistent and high-quality supply of ingredients. Conduct thorough evaluations of botanical samples to verify authenticity and potency.
- Quality Assurance Testing: Develop and execute comprehensive testing protocols to assess the purity, identity, and potency of botanical extracts used in homeopathic formulations. Utilize advanced analytical techniques and equipment to perform assays and analyses.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant regulations and standards governing botanical ingredients in the homeopathic industry. Ensure that all quality control processes align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all botanical sourcing activities, testing results, and quality control procedures. Generate comprehensive reports summarizing findings and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including Research & Development, Production, and Regulatory Affairs, to support product development, manufacturing, and compliance initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Identify opportunities to optimize and streamline quality control processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reliability. Implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary to address any quality issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Botany, Pharmacognosy, Chemistry, or related field.
- Proven experience in botanical sourcing, quality control, or related roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical or nutraceutical industry.
- Strong knowledge of botanical identification, extraction methods, and analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC-MS).
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to botanical ingredients (e.g., USP, Ph.Eur., GMP).
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving priorities and challenges.
