About the Role: 

The Legal Manager will play a pivotal role in safeguarding Company’s legal and regulatory interests. Your deep expertise in corporate law, contract negotiation, and contract management will help steer our legal strategy while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. With a preference for candidates with a strong law firm background, we’re looking for someone who can bring rigorous legal acumen and meticulous attention to detail to our operations.

In addition to legal expertise, you will establish and manage robust internal legal processes, building a foundation for efficient operations and compliance. This role also involves team management responsibilities, ensuring the legal team is well-coordinated and aligned with organizational goals.

You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, addressing complex legal issues, negotiating contracts, and serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to executing legal functions in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Law and Compliance:

• Provide expert guidance on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to applicable laws, rules, and regulations, particularly in the rapidly evolving crypto landscape.
• Engage with regulatory bodies and government authorities to ensure compliance and represent Company in legal matters.

Contract Management and Negotiation:

• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a wide range of contracts, including vendor agreements, partnership contracts, and service-level agreements.
• Implement and oversee best practices for contract management and ensure alignment with legal standards.
• Address complex contractual issues and disputes effectively.

Internal Legal Processes and Team Management:

• Develop and implement internal legal processes to streamline operations and ensure compliance.
• Establish clear protocols and workflows for managing legal documentation and stakeholder communication.
• Lead and manage the legal team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, ensuring skill development and alignment with organizational goals.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Act as the primary liaison for all legal matters, collaborating with internal teams and external law firms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with partner firms, ensuring timely and accurate legal advice.
• Proactively support business units in addressing legal concerns and mitigating risks.

Legal Advisory:

• Advise senior leadership on a variety of legal and regulatory issues, aligning legal strategies with business objectives.
• Conduct risk assessments for new business initiatives and propose actionable solutions to mitigate potential legal challenges.

Research and Policy Development:

• Conduct in-depth legal research to stay ahead of industry trends and evolving regulations.
• Develop and enforce internal policies that align with legal requirements and best practices.
• Provide insights into emerging legal challenges and opportunities within the crypto space.

What We Are Looking For

Educational Background:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) is required from a reputed national Law School 
• Experience:
• 5-10  years of solid experience in corporate law, contract negotiation, and contract management.
• A background in a reputable law firm is strongly preferred, showcasing exposure to high-stakes legal matters and intricate contract negotiations.
• Experience in setting up internal legal processes and managing legal teams is preferred.

Expertise:

• Comprehensive knowledge of corporate law, regulatory frameworks, and contract law.
• Experience in managing and resolving complex legal issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to craft innovative solutions.
