Job Title: Sales Head

Job Description:

The Sales Head, also known as the Vice President of Sales or Chief Sales Officer (CSO), is a senior executive responsible for leading all aspects of the sales function within an organization. This role typically reports directly to the CEO or another member of the executive leadership team and plays a critical role in driving revenue growth, developing sales strategies, and managing sales teams.


Key Responsibilities:

·      Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute the organization's sales strategy in alignment with overall business objectives. Identify market opportunities, customer segments, and sales channels to maximize revenue growth. Set sales targets, quotas, and performance metrics to drive results.

·      Business Development and Growth: Lead business development efforts to acquire new customers, expand market share, and enter new markets. Build and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.

·      Sales Team Management: Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to sales representatives. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the sales organization.

·      Sales Operations and Processes: Establish and optimize sales processes, systems, and tools to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. Implement sales automation and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems to track leads, opportunities, and customer interactions. Monitor and analyse sales data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

·      Sales Forecasting and Performance Management: Develop sales forecasts and projections to inform budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic decision-making. Monitor sales performance against targets and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), taking corrective action as needed.

·       Pricing and Revenue Optimization: Collaborate with marketing, product management, and finance teams to develop pricing strategies and optimize revenue. Analyse market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer preferences to inform pricing decisions.

·      Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to drive customer loyalty and retention. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and escalations in a timely and professional manner..

Qualifications:

·      Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; Master's degree or relevant certifications preferred.

·      Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in sales leadership roles, with a track record of driving revenue growth and managing high-performing sales teams.

·      Deep knowledge of sales strategies, techniques, and best practices across various industries and market segments.

·      Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams.

·      Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.

·      Analytical mind set with the ability to interpret sales data, identifies trends, and makes data-driven decisions.

·      Experience in sales operations, CRM systems, and sales performance management tools.

·      Results-oriented mind set with a focus on achieving sales targets and driving business outcomes.
