Position Description - Production planning & Control


Required Qualification


Bachelors in Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering Required Experience (Minimum years’ experience/ experience area /version of the technology used).

4-6 years of relevant experience in small & medium scale industry Supervisory Requirements ( Applies for People Managerial role ) NA


Required technical skills (Mandatory technical skills)


  • Proven Experience as Production planner.
  • Knowledge of Material resource planning.
  • Working Knowledge of MS office & ERP Systems.
  • Develop process improvements for inventory, manufacturing and production control systems.
  • Knowledge on Material utilisation & improving machine efficiency Soft Skills
  • Basic Production planning skills, Material utilisation,Machine Efficiency
  • Computer knowledge – Good in excel, MS office
  • Good English communication & interpersonal skills – Negotiation & coordination

Reports to : Manager- SCM/ Manager - Operations


Roles & Responsibilities


  • Coordinate with Sales team and prepare Daily,Monthly production plans.
  • Evaluating Sales Orders to create suitable production schedules.
  • Ensure Machine up-time with maximum material utilisation.
  • Plans and manages production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize company’s productive capacity.
  • Receives and reviews sales orders against current requirements and work in process using the material requirement planning report.
  • Address & resolve production related issues to avoid delay in production.
  • Prepare available solutions to reduce REM & improve production efficiency.
  • Compile status & performance reports.
  • Stake holder communication: Internal – Sales, Logistics,Operation department
  • External - Customers Personality Learning & Development:
  • Proactive approach & development of activities for the growth of team.
  • Should have passion to learn and take up new challenges.
  • Maintains punctuality.
  • Good in Excel and other SAGE ERP computer applications
  • Knowledge on Aradis (any other layout software) will be a plus.
