Roles and Responsibilities


  • Prepare and cook exquisite desserts, chocolates, and savories with precision and creativity
  • Contribute to menu development with innovative pastry art and new recipes
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met in the kitchen at all times
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences
  • Assist the Pastry Chef in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pastry and baking department.
  • Lead and supervise a team of pastry cooks and commis, delegating tasks and ensuring that production schedules are met.
  • Prepare and produce a variety of baked goods, pastries, and desserts according to standardized recipes and specifications.
  • Monitor the quality and consistency of baked products, ensuring that they meet presentation and taste standards.
  • Train and mentor junior pastry staff, providing guidance on pastry and baking techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation practices.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry and baking section of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Adhere to kitchen procedures, policies, and standards, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and industry best practices.
