Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Forex Accountant with 4 to 6 years of experience to join our team at Atlas Tours & Travels Pvt. Ltd. As a Forex Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all foreign exchange transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, and optimizing currency conversion rates for our international operations. This is a full-time position based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in forex accounting or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of foreign exchange markets, hedging strategies, and risk management.
• Proficiency in using financial software and tools for forex transactions.
• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and reporting requirements for foreign exchange transactions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial calculations and record-keeping.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional certification in forex accounting or a related field is a plus.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage all foreign exchange transactions, including currency conversion, hedging strategies, and risk management.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and reporting requirements for foreign exchange transactions.
• Monitor and optimize currency conversion rates for international operations.
• Maintain accurate records of all foreign exchange transactions and reconcile discrepancies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
• Stay up-to-date with market trends, economic events, and regulatory changes that can impact foreign exchange rates.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts related to foreign exchange activities.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in foreign exchange operations.
• Support internal and external audits related to foreign exchange transactions.
• Provide training and guidance to junior team members.
• Must be from an FFMC (preferably from AD 2) background with minimum 5 years’ experience.
