Job Title: Azure Database Admin

Level: Level 3

Location: (Delhi / Hyderabad) (On-site)

Experience: 4 years - 8 years

Role and Responsibilities 

• Creation of users/roles and assign them to minimum privileges
• Keeping the backups according to the business policy.
• Keeping the databases in right backup redundancy
• Refresh/Restore the non-prods with production database copies
• Point-in-time restore in case of data disaster
• High availability and Disaster recovery (HA/DR) techniques of Databases
• Implementing Transparent Data Encryption
• Implementing Purging, Archiving and Partitioning on large data sets
• Creating database Maintenance plans using Automation accounts, elastic jobs and logic apps
• Monitoring database performance. Creation of DB alerts
• Maintaining the multiple subscriptions and resource groups according to the prod and non-prod usage. Check the type of subscriptions and their prices
• Experience/knowledge of Migration of databases from on premise to the Cloud
• Choosing the databases in Single (or) elastic pool models
• Choosing the databases in Server less model
• Automating the Scale-up and Scale-down the databases based on their daily usage. Proficiency in SQL programming and Redshift stored procedures for efficient data manipulation and transformation.
• Experience in version control repository of codes, scripts, and configurations using Git.
• Hands-on experience in handling high priority Incidents and troubleshooting

     Key skills Required

• Azure monitoring end to end solution and value addition focused
• Excellent technical skills around client and server technologies
• Good Experience of working with Windows Server environments (Active Directory, SQL, Windows Server)
• Sound knowledge of Azure Active directory and conditional access policies
• Working knowledge of ITIL framework, Reporting
• Good understanding of IT Infrastructure - Servers, OS, Networking, Security, protocols, IIS etc.
