Job Title: Senior Manager / Assistant General Manager - Business Development (Sales & Marketing)


Job Description:

Position Overview: As a Senior Manager / Assistant General Manager in Business Development, you will spearhead the expansion of our clientele within the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) sector across India. Your role will focus on promoting our comprehensive suite of services encompassing Accounting & Finance, Human Resources, Compliance, and Sales & Marketing, with the primary objective of driving business growth through client acquisition.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition: Identify and engage potential NGOs through diverse channels including networking events, cold calling, email outreach, and referrals.
  • Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand the unique requirements and challenges of each NGO prospect, and propose tailored solutions that add value to their operations.
  • Solution Presentation: Deliver compelling presentations highlighting the benefits of our services, customized to address the specific needs and interests of each NGO.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders within target NGOs, serving as a reliable resource to address inquiries and concerns.
  • Pipeline Management: Manage a robust sales pipeline, tracking prospects from initial contact to closure, and ensuring timely follow-up to drive conversions.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities within the NGO sector to refine sales strategies and identify new prospects.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams such as Finance, HR, and Compliance to tailor solutions meeting the unique needs and regulatory requirements of NGO clients.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and client feedback to senior management, offering insights for optimizing sales performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • 10+ years of proven success in B2B sales, preferably in the service industry.
  • Strong understanding of the NGO sector and its challenges.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with NGOs or in the nonprofit sector.
  • Fluency in multiple languages, especially regional languages spoken in India.
  • Experience using social media and digital marketing tools for outreach.
