Job description

· Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations

· Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address hazardous conditions and equipment

· Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and recommend corrective actions

· Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, including new hire orientation and ongoing training

Role & responsibilities

· Safety Program Development: Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans, policies, and procedures in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

· Risk Assessment & Hazard Identification: Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify potential hazards. Implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.

· Training & Education: Conduct safety training sessions and workshops for employees, contractors, and management to promote a culture of safety awareness.

· Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses. Prepare detailed reports and recommend preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.

· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all safety activities comply with local, state, and national regulations, as well as company policies and industry standards.

· Emergency Preparedness: Develop and oversee emergency response plans, including drills and simulations, to ensure readiness in case of an incident.

· Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, training activities, and safety performance metrics.
