ey Responsibilities:


1. Technical Drawing & Documentation:


  • Develop detailed technical drawings for modular furniture components and assembly using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Create and update technical documentation, ensuring all design specifications are accurate and comprehensive.
  • Maintain an organized library of modules and fragments, ensuring ease of access and retrieval for ongoing and future NPD and client projects.

2. Modules & Fragments Library Management:


  • Update and manage the library of modular furniture components, ensuring that all elements are up-to-date and aligned with current design standards.
  • Coordinate with design teams to incorporate new modules and fragments into the library, ensuring consistency across all designs with the help of Snr Design Engineers.
  • Regularly review and refine the library to improve efficiency and adaptability in the design process.

3. Collaboration & Coordination:


  • Work closely with design and production teams to ensure technical drawings meet manufacturability and assembly requirements.
  • Collaborate within the NPD teams to ensure that the prototypes and related technical designs align with project goals and timelines.
  • Provide technical support during the development and production phases, resolving any design-related issues that may arise.

4. Quality Assurance & Compliance:


  • Ensure all technical designs comply with industry standards and company quality requirements.
  • Conduct regular reviews of technical drawings to identify and correct any errors or inconsistencies of fragments and modules in the library.
  • Participate in design reviews, providing technical input and recommendations for improvements.

5. Continuous Improvement:


  • Stay informed about the latest trends, materials, costing and technologies in modular furniture design and manufacturing.
  • Propose and implement improvements to the technical and non-technical design process, cost optimisation, etc. focusing on increasing efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Contribute to the innovation and development of new modular furniture concepts through continued collaboration with Product designers and manufacturing engineers.



Requirements

The Ideal candidate is for a Junior role as a replacement for the Design Engineer role(Vignesh P). The max cap on the salary is about 32000/- in hand for someone with 3 years of experienced in IMOS and library management. Freshers with idea on IMOS functionality or any other parametric software are also welcome and fall within the bracket of the aforementioned salary.
