Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Furniture Merchandiser/Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing efforts, build strong supplier relationships, and ensure the best pricing, quality, and timely delivery of products. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of furniture sourcing, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to stay updated on market trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable furniture manufacturers and suppliers globally.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about furniture industry trends, materials, and design innovations.
- Oversee the procurement process, from product development and sampling to production and delivery.
- Ensure all sourced products meet quality standards and client specifications.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to fulfill project and client requirements effectively.
- Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and manage supply chain operations.
- Analyze costs and recommend cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in furniture merchandising, sourcing, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of the furniture and interior design industry, including materials and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in sourcing tools, procurement software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of international trade, import/export regulations, and logistics is a plus.
