About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer. You’ll have exciting opportunities to fundamentally impact the product and the business. This is a unique role that sits at the intersection of Software Engineering, User Interface design, and Machine Learning to deliver meaningful value to B2B SaaS customers.

About You

● You have at least a BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

● Proficiency in a programming language like Python (ideal), etc

● Proficiency in working with and maintaining databases, such as Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.

● Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

● Experience in working with containerisation technologies like Docker.

● 5+ years of experience developing highly performant and scalable backend code.

● You have a passion for building user interfaces that delight users.

● Experience with API development, testing and integration.

In this role you will:

● Use Python, Node.js and related backend technologies.

● Use AI models and tools like GPT to build high performance generative APIs.

● Use SQL, MongoDB, BigQuery and related database technologies.

● Build high performance distributed cloud containerised platform using Kubernetes and Docker.

● Actively use public clouds like GCP, Azure and AWS.

Bonus points for:

● Experience in working with Kubernetes.

● Experience working with a framework like Flask/Django.

● Experience in developing Python applications and RESTful services.

● Experience with back-end technologies that interact with Postgres.

● Experience in operating in a Linux environment(s).

● Good understanding of how highly secure, distributed, resilient software works.

● Experience in shipping multi-tenant platforms for both SaaS and on-premise deployments.
