Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting & Analysis:
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Perform variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial reports for internal stakeholders, senior management, and external auditors.
  1. Audit & Compliance:
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate audits and financial reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, financial regulations, and corporate governance standards.
  • Monitor changes in accounting regulations and ensure the company’s financial practices are up to date.
  1. Cash Flow Management:
  • Monitor cash flow and manage liquidity, working closely with other departments to ensure that financial resources are used efficiently.
  • Ensure the timely collection of receivables and management of payables to maintain optimal working capital levels.
  1. Taxation:
  • Oversee tax planning, compliance, and filing of corporate tax returns (Direct & Indirect Taxes).
  • Ensure the company’s tax practices are aligned with prevailing laws and regulations, and identify opportunities for tax optimization.
  1. Financial Systems & Process Improvement:
  • Drive improvements in financial processes, controls, and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement best practices in financial reporting and business performance management.
  • Maintain the integrity of financial systems and ensure timely updates and data accuracy.
  1. Team Collaboration & Mentorship:
  • Collaborate closely with other departments (e.g., Operations, HR, Procurement) to ensure alignment of financial strategies and business objectives.
  • Mentor and guide junior finance staff, providing leadership, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to building a positive and productive team culture within the finance department.
  1. Strategic Financial Planning:
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in financial due diligence for potential investments, acquisitions, or other business opportunities.
  • Support senior leadership in the development of long-term financial goals and strategies.
  1. Ad-hoc Financial Projects:
  • Lead or assist in various financial projects such as mergers and acquisitions, process automation, and system implementations.
  • Prepare financial models and scenario analyses to assist in strategic planning.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education:
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is a must (CA Final completion).
  • Additional certifications in finance (e.g., CFA, CPA) or an MBA (Finance) will be an advantage.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, reporting, and analysis, preferably in a senior or managerial role.
  • Prior experience in handling audits, tax compliance, and financial reporting for medium to large organizations.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards (Indian GAAP, IFRS, etc.) and financial regulations.
  • Exposure to financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, QuickBooks).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Ability to lead and mentor teams, with excellent leadership qualities.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in handling financial matters.
