Job Overview

Apollo Health And Lifestyle Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for drawing blood from patients for lab testing, transfusions, donations, or research purposes. This is a full-time position based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. The ideal candidate should have 1 to 3 years of experience in phlebotomy and be proficient in handling lab equipment and canula insertion. Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills are also required.

Qualifications and Skills

• 1 to 3 years of experience as a Phlebotomist or similar role
• Proficient in lab equipment handling and canula insertion
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Roles and Responsibilities

• Draw blood from patients and blood donors using techniques such as venipuncture, fingerstick, or heelstick
• Verify patient information and ensure that all labeling of specimens is accurate
• Prepare blood samples for laboratory testing or analysis
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Monitor patients' vital signs during blood collection process
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
• Follow proper disposal procedures for contaminated sharps and biohazardous waste
• Provide excellent patient care and address any concerns or questions
• Maintain proper documentation of all phlebotomy procedures
