As the Finance Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our accounting processes. Your leadership skills and comprehensive understanding of Indian accounting practices will be essential in driving the team's performance and achieving our financial objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying trends and recommending improvements to optimize financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and tax laws.
  • Prepare financial statements, management reports, and ad hoc financial analyses for senior management.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and assist in the annual audit process.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices, sharing knowledge with the team and implementing necessary updates.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification such as CA or CPA is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Indian accounting, including expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and statutory requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards (Indian GAAP) .
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, managing and motivating a finance team.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks is a plus.
