Job Description:

Responsibilities:

1. Overall Management of Public Bike Sharing (PBS) Project: Lead and oversee all aspects of the Public Bike Sharing project for Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC), ensuring its successful implementation and operation.
2. Representation at Surat Municipal Corporation Meetings: Act as the primary representative for the PBS project in meetings with Surat Municipal Corporation officials, providing updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and seeking necessary approvals.
3. Team Management: Build and manage a dedicated team responsible for various aspects of the PBS project, including operations, maintenance, customer service, and data analysis.
4. Staff Hiring: Identify staffing needs and recruit qualified personnel to support the PBS project, ensuring adequate manpower for smooth project execution.
5. Account Management: Oversee the financial aspects of the PBS project, including budget allocation, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting to ensure cost-effective operations within allocated funds.
6. Letter Drafting for Surat Municipal Corporation: Prepare official letters, reports, and other communication materials on behalf of the PBS project for submission to Surat Municipal Corporation, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with established guidelines.
7. Quarterly Report Submission on Ridership Data: Compile and analyze ridership data from the PBS system on a quarterly basis, preparing comprehensive reports for submission to Surat Municipal Corporation to track project performance and inform decision-making.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Urban Planning, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Proven experience in project management, particularly in the implementation of public infrastructure projects or transportation initiatives.
3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
4. Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in drafting official correspondence and presenting complex information to various audiences.
5. Experience in financial management, budgeting, and reporting.
6. Knowledge of urban mobility concepts and familiarity with bike sharing systems or similar transportation solutions is desirable.
7. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
8. Familiarity with Surat city governance structure and procedures is an advantage.
