Job Summary:

Responsible for pre-bid and detail engineering for telecommunication and security systems for onshore pipeline projects. The ideal candidate possesses a comprehensive understanding of designing fiber optic networks, LAN/SCS, IP telephony, PAGA, Tetra/Radio Systems, CCTV Systems, Access Control Systems, and Intrusion Detection etc.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirement Analysis: Analyse bid documents to discern project scope regarding telecommunication and security systems. Study site surveys and documentation to evaluate existing infrastructure and identify design limitations.

Telecom System Design: Develop through designs for telecommunications systems and networks, tailored to customer requirements and international standards. Tasks include defining system architecture, creating system/logical diagrams, conducting CCTV & PAGA coverage studies, performing FOC schematic design, calculating FOC link budgets, preparing splicing & patching diagrams, and crafting FOC/telecom cable routing layouts. Responsible for equipment selection via Material Requisitions (MR), vendor evaluation, and detailed review of vendor documents.

Integration with Existing Systems: Ensure seamless integration of telecommunication systems with existing infrastructure, such as SCADA systems, control networks, and IT systems. Design interfaces and protocols to facilitate interoperability and data exchange between diverse systems.

Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance of telecom designs with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements. Aware about implementation of redundant and fail-safe mechanisms to mitigate risks and ensure operational continuity.

Technical Documentation: Preparation of Design Basis, Function Specification, System Block Diagrams, Link Budget Calculations, Coverage layouts, Equipment & location layouts, Material Requisition, Technical Bid Evaluation etc.

Vendor Management: Evaluate vendor proposals and oversee the quality of deliverables to ensure alignment with project requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

v Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

v Proficiency in telecommunications technologies and Security Systems, including Fiber Optic Communication & Design, CCTV Systems, PAGA/Paging Systems, LAN & Structured Cabling Systems, Access Control Systems, and Transmission networks like DWDM, IP networks, Tetra/Radio Systems, etc.

v Knowledge of industry standards and internation Customer standards (preferable Saudi Aramco Standards)

v Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
