Job Overview

Ampera is hiring Person with Disability (PWD) candidates for a Senior Data Engineer to join the Ampera Diversity Pvt Ltd team in Chennai. This full-time role requires a minimum of 7 to a maximum of 10 years of work experience. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in data engineering to support organizational goals, utilizing advanced technical skills and a commitment to the company's mission of fostering diversity and inclusion, especially focusing on PwDs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Expert proficiency in python (Mandatory skill) for developing robust data processing solutions and automation scripts to streamline workflows.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL (Mandatory skill) for data retrieval, manipulation, and ensuring data integrity across relational databases.
• Experience with cloud (Mandatory skill) environments for deploying scalable data pipelines and applications across multiple platforms.
• Strong understanding and practical experience in ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading to support analytics and reporting.
• Ability to design and develop interactive dashboards using tableau to visualize complex datasets and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Solid background in data modeling, normalization, and schema design to ensure effective data architecture and improved query performance.
• Proven track record as a data engineer with the ability to manage and optimize modern data architecture and infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the capacity to troubleshoot complex data issues and develop innovative solutions in a timely manner.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform large datasets from diverse sources efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications and actionable plans.
• Create and optimize database structures and queries to improve system performance, accessibility, and reliability.
• Implement strategies for data governance, quality, and security to ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data engineering processes, including data sources, data flows, and system architecture.
• Facilitate seamless integration of data platforms and tools to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices to propose and implement innovative solutions for business challenges.
