Job Overview

The Color Development Manager is a mid-level position based in Ranipet. This is a full-time role suitable for candidates with 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience. The selected candidate will play a critical role in developing and managing color strategies and solutions to enhance our product offerings.

Qualifications and Skills

•  7 + years experience in a textile industry engaged in dyeing and finishing and with a back ground of Textile Technology/ Chemistry / Chemical Engineering
• Thorough knowledge in yarn dyeing process
•  Knowledge in color management and recipe development.
• Knowledge in data color system
• Problem solving and analytical skills and action oriented for improvement
• Good organization abilities, people management, communication and interpersonal skills are needed

Roles and Responsibilities

•  Manage and maintain color system and lab equipment to ensure lab & color system operation properly to deliver lab work within agreed lead time.
•  Develop secondary (dyed shade standard) so that after lubrication it matches with the lubricated standard.
• Ensure optimal trained resources allocation in order to effectively manage laboratory work load and to ensure all samples are produced within shade tolerance and service lead time.
• Review laboratory operations by constantly monitoring work practices, processes and action to streamline operation as necessary.
• Monitor and manage lab dyeing checking in time for pass / fail decision, recipe correction in time to improve service lead time and lab output.
• In order to improve bulk RFT and color quality check recipe and improve recipe of shades having color quality outside of tolerance limit.
•  Endeavour efficiency improvement such as matching attempt, lab to bulk reproducibility, lab machine utilization through careful review, analysis, motivating the down line people and taking appropriate action.
• Monitor lab to bulk reproducibility and work with bulk dye house team to maximize sustainable lab to bulk reproducibility.
• Analyze shade related customer complaints in conjunction with quality department and recommend/take corrective action as appropriate.
• Liaise with sales team and provide feedback relating to queries of CDE/LDD and samples.
• Deliver cross training within the team for greater flexibility of manning allocation.
• Assess performance of lab people, identify training needs.
•  Develop and maintain all laboratory SOPs and ensure all laboratory operations fully comply with SOPs.
•  Promote health and safety awareness and ensure safe working environment taking steps to eliminate all risk factors and potential hazards.
