Key Responsibilities:


1. Record Maintenance:

  • Maintain Records: Manage and organize all financial records, including vouchers, receipts, bills, and payments.
  • Petty Cash Handling: Oversee petty cash records, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.

2. Banking and Reconciliation:

  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Payment Collection: Follow up on payments through telephonic and email communications.
  • Banking Transactions: Handle banking operations, including issuing cheques, cash deposits, NEFT, and RTGS transactions.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile sundry debtors and creditors to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved.

3. Tax and Compliance:

  • GST Working: Prepare and maintain monthly GST (Goods and Services Tax) /TDS calculations and documentation.

4. Accounting and Financial Operations:

  • Job/Purchase Orders: Create and manage job and purchase orders.
  • Sales and Purchase Registers: Maintain accurate sales and purchase registers and ensure proper entry into accounting software.
  • Day-to-Day Accounting: Handle daily accounting tasks, including entries and transaction management.

5. Software Proficiency:

  • Accounting Software: Utilize accounting software like ZOHO or Tally ERP for various financial tasks, including record keeping, reporting, and reconciliation.


Skills and Qualifications:


1. Educational Background:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is typically required.

2. Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as ZOHO or Tally ERP.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.

3. Organizational Skills:

  • Strong ability to manage and organize financial records and documents.
  • Efficient in handling multiple financial tasks and responsibilities.

4. Communication Skills:

  • Effective communication skills for following up on payments and coordinating with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

5. Analytical Skills:

  • Attention to detail for accurate financial reporting and reconciliation.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies.

6. Time Management:

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.


Experience:


  • Previous experience in accounting or a related field is often preferred, especially with knowledge of specific software like ZOHO or Tally ERP.
