Job Overview

We are seeking a Transport Manager to join our team. Erode. The ideal candidate with relevant work experience and will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our logistics operations, managing our fleet, and ensuring regulatory compliance.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in logistics management, demonstrating an ability to optimize supply chain operations.
  • Proven experience in fleet management, including vehicle maintenance, driver management, and cost control.
  • Expertise in route planning to maximize efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory compliance requirements related to transportation and logistics.
  • Strong budgeting skills to manage and allocate resources effectively while controlling costs.
  • Excellent team leadership capabilities, able to motivate and manage a transportation team effectively.
  • Solid risk management skills to identify potential issues and implement preventive measures.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily transportation operations, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods.
  • Manage the company's fleet of vehicles, including maintenance scheduling and cost control.
  • Develop and optimize route plans to enhance delivery efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, including safety and environmental standards.
  • Create and manage budgets for transportation operations, monitoring expenses and controlling costs.
  • Lead and train the transportation team, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with transportation and logistics operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate logistics and support overall company goals.
