General Qualifications and Duties for Revit Specialist (Modeler/Drafter)

Duties and Responsibilities :

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and the ability to interpret

direction for conceptual lab design from verbal communication is required.

 General AWW and Lab Equipment/Casework knowledge is preferred.

 Develop accurate and detailed Revit models for lab equipment, casework, and millwork,

ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards.

 Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and other documents

to incorporate necessary details into shop drawings.

 Manage and organize Revit models (worksets, sheets/views, family and detail library) and

drawings in accordance with ISEC Engineering and VDC standards for easy access and review by

project stakeholders.

 Participate in coordination meetings, as needed, to address design and construction challenges.

 Assist in revising drawings based on feedback from project teams or approval comments.

 Maintain up to date architect’s design background models and manipulate ISEC vendor’s Revit

families for custom modifications, including materials/textures and shared parameters between

multiple families.

 Understanding of basic space planning, mechanical/electrical/plumbing (MEP) conflict detection

and resolution

 Intermediate working knowledge and understanding of AutoCAD and Navisworks.

 Autodesk Revit Certified Qualification in Architectural Design is preferred.

 Ability to train and learn specific ISEC related plug-ins and tools within Revit.

 Sense of Urgency, curiosity and willingness to learn.

Preferred Experience

 Previous experience working on projects involving lab equipment and casework installation.

 Familiarity with Kewaunee products or similar lab casework and millwork systems.

 Experience working with international teams, particularly with American clients.

 Experience with Enscape plugin for Revit.

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Revit Specialist who can efficiently produce detailed shop drawings modeled and drafted natively in Revit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modeling casework, millwork, and lab equipment specific to the construction industry. This role involves creating comprehensive submittal shop drawings, including elevations, plans, sections, and details, for submittal and approval in construction projects. As well as coordinating and working in Autodesk Construction Cloud directly with ISEC engineering and VDC teams to share and develop project models during the life of the project to assist with the BIM coordination or Virtual model review.
