Job Summary:

1. Network Design and Implementation: Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure for embedded and software development environments.
2. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Monitor network performance and resolve issues related to connectivity, latency, and data transfer. Debug hardware and software network problems in embedded systems and software platforms.
3. System Integration: Work closely with software and embedded teams to integrate network protocols and interfaces. Test and validate network performance for software and embedded applications.
4. Security Management: Implement and manage secure network protocols and firewalls. Ensure compliance with industry standards for secure data transmission in software and embedded systems.
5. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of network configurations, changes, and maintenance logs. Provide detailed reports on network performance and incidents to stakeholders.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS).
• Experience with networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and Wi-Fi standards.
• Familiarity with embedded systems and their network requirements.
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools such as Wireshark or Nagios.
• Hands-on experience with Linux networking and command-line tools.
• Strong debugging skills for hardware-software network issues.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

• Knowledge of IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP).
• Experience in real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Basic programming skills in C/C++, Python, or Shell scripting.
• Familiarity with cloud services and their networking aspects (e.g., AWS, Azure).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in network engineering, with exposure to software and embedded environments.
