Position Description


Job Title: GET / Junior Engineer

Department: Quality- Final Quality

Direct Reports: Quality Engineer

Type of Hire: Full-time employee


Candidate Profile - Minimum Requirements

Required Qualification: Diploma or B.E. Mechanical / Metallurgy

Work Experience: Minimum 1 years of experience in a similar role

Preferred Industrial background: Valve manufacturing industry


Job Summary (Areas of Responsibility)

  • Conduct final inspections on purchased parts, subassemblies, or finished products according to engineering drawings and customer standards.
  • Carry out final inspection, documentation, and TPI handling.


Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • Capable of Interpreting:
  • Conduct final inspections on purchased parts, subassemblies, or finished products in accordance with engineering drawings and customer standards.
  • Review Material Test Reports (MTR) and Certificates of Conformance (CofC) against relevant standards and specifications.
  • Generate Non-Conformance Reports and other internal departmental reports as assigned.
  • Follow documented procedures and standards meticulously.
  • Perform multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet delivery requirements in a timely manner.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and possess a novice level understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Maintain records through digital means, such as documents and drawings.
  • Demonstrate computer literacy with standard software applications along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment, including but not limited to micrometers, height gauges, calipers, dial indicators, and bore gauges, to inspect according to company standards.
  • Possessing NDT Level II certification in VT, PT, MT, UT is preferred, with the ability to read and accept review reports.


Relevant Experience

  • Experience in valve and actuator manufacturing or automotive industry
  • Certification in NDE methods, PT, MT, UT and RT, certified as Level 2, preferable.
  • Experience with ISO 9001:2015, PED, ISO17025, ASTM, API, standards.
  • Working knowledge with MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other soft documentation systems.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems beneficial
  • Experience in preparing material test certificates in accordance with ASTM and PED
