Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for a mid-level, full-time position located in Chennai. The ideal candidate will be experienced in CNC programming and tooling setup. This role is crucial for manufacturing precision parts using CNC machinery while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in CNC programming (Mandatory skill) to automate and control CNC machine tools for precise manufacturing.
• Expertise in tooling setup (Mandatory skill) to efficiently prepare and configure tools, ensuring optimal machine performance.
• Strong understanding of G-code for programming instructions that dictate machine operations.
• Experience with Fanuc controls to operate and troubleshoot CNC machining processes effectively.
• Capability to operate Haas CNC machines ensuring high-precision production and maintenance of equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings to interpret manufacturing specifications for parts production.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software to assist in designing and manufacturing parts with complex geometries.
• Experience with precision measurement tools to ensure dimensions are exact, maintaining strict quality standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to perform specific tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling with precision.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure machine settings align with required specifications.
• Plan machining process by reviewing work orders, blueprints, materials, specifications, and setup requirements.
• Monitor machine operations to identify issues and ensuring continuous production without interruptions.
• Inspect and measure finished products using precision tools to ascertain compliance with specifications.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Conduct regular machine maintenance checks and perform any necessary adjustments or repairs.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
