Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Business Systems Analyst to join our team and contribute to the development and enhancement of our healthcare technology solutions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business clients to define and document system requirements, implement system upgrades, and oversee the development of comprehensive user documentation. You will also serve as a primary contact for data reporting, performance tracking, and troubleshooting while mentoring junior team members to ensure excellence in project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Work with clients to determine and document business system needs, define functional requirements, and scope projects effectively.
System Analysis & Enhancement: Identify potential issues, perform system analyses, and implement system enhancements, modifications, and upgrades to meet evolving business needs.
Data Reporting & Tracking: Consult with clients to design data reports and trends, ensuring clear insight into system performance and issues.
User Documentation & Training: Oversee the design and development of user documentation; collaborate with training departments to deliver accurate technical information.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering skill development within the team.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related field. An MBA is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of six years in business technology solutions, preferably with data analytics and problem-solving in complex environments.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Source-to-Target mapping and data warehousing.
Working knowledge of databases such as Teradata, DB2, Oracle, etc.
Advanced SQL skills and understanding of ETL and data integration methodologies.
Familiarity with healthcare business areas like Actuarial, Finance, Underwriting, Claims Processing, Enrollment, or Provider services.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to demonstrate business system solutions effectively.
Analytical & Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills, along with a demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects, identify issues, and coordinate resources.
Adaptability: Quickly learning new or existing systems and working independently in a dynamic environment.
Project Management: Adherence to program and project management standards is required.
