Responsibilities:

● Assist in identifying and sourcing suppliers/vendors for required materials, goods, and

services.

● Learn to negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favourable pricing,

quality, and delivery terms.

● Support in issuing purchase orders and contracts based on approved requisitions and

agreements.

● Coordinate with various departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure

alignment with organizational goals.

● Learn to evaluate supplier performance based on criteria such as quality, delivery

reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

● Assist in maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.

● Monitor and track orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise.

● Learn to analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities to make informed

purchasing decisions.

● Participate in vendor meetings, conferences, and negotiations under the guidance of

senior purchasing staff.

● Assist in implementing cost-saving initiatives and process improvements within the

procurement function.

● Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to

procurement activities.

● Maintain professional and positive relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and

team members.

● Participate in training programs and educational opportunities to enhance procurement

knowledge and skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

● Pursuing B Tech (Mechanical) or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain

Management or a related field.

● Strong analytical and communication skills.

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

● Previous procurement experience or coursework is advantageous.
