Job Description For QC Manager

Department: Quality Control

Job Title:  QC Manager


Responsibilities (aligned with our Mission, Vision and Values):


1. Strengthening Process Standardization:

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain documented standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all quality control activities.
  2. Conduct regular audits to assess adherence to SOPs and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Train QC staff on standardized QC procedures.


2. Improving Supplier Quality:

  1. Develop and implement a supplier qualification process to ensure quality and reliability.
  2. Conduct regular supplier audits to assess their quality control practices.
  3. Collaborate with suppliers on corrective actions to address quality issues.


3. Enhancing Customer Feedback and Satisfaction:

  1. Design and implement a system for collecting customer feedback on product quality and service.
  2. Analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and opportunities to exceed expectations.
  3. Develop and implement corrective actions based on customer feedback.


4. Promoting Continuous Improvement:

  1. Identify and implement quality improvement initiatives throughout the production and service delivery processes.
  2. Analyze data and trends to identify areas for quality improvement.
  3. Lead and participate in kaizen events (continuous improvement workshops) to identify and implement solutions for quality concerns.


5. Ensuring Regulatory Compliance:

  1. Stay up-to-date on relevant quality control regulations and industry standards.
  2. Develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
  3. Conduct regular internal audits to verify regulatory compliance.


6. Enhancing Training and Skill Development:

  1. Identify training needs for QC staff based on current practices and new technologies.
  2. Develop and deliver training programs to equip QC staff with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  3. Encourage and support the professional development of QC staff.


7. Leadership and Management:

  1. Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing QC team.
  2. Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of QC staff.
  3. Foster a culture of quality excellence within the department.


8. Communication and Collaboration:

  1. Maintain effective communication with other departments (e.g., production, sales) regarding quality control processes and requirements.
  2. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent quality across all aspects of company operations.
  3. Prepare and deliver reports on QC activities, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives.
