Opening for Assistant Manager FPO (Guwahati)


It is an agribusiness firm providing technical advisory, consultancy,

skill development and project implementation support to Central & State governments,

multilateral agencies, corporates and private entrepreneurs on PAN India basis.

Incorporated in 1991, we have a team of specialized professionals with experience and

expertise in the domains of Agriculture and Agribusiness Management, Rural management,

Agricultural Infrastructure and others.


Role: We are looking to hire Project Coordinator cum Marketing Officer professional, at the

Assistant level under the Centrally sponsored scheme “Central Sector for Formation and

Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs)”. Essentially, we are looking for

a teammate who can visualize the story of what we do and feels excited about it. We

believe that he/she will also add happiness to the team. The detailed job description is

mentioned below:


 Identify business opportunities for the organization and Farmer Producer Organizations

(FPOs) in different segments of agri and allied sectors (Input, Output,

Services/technology etc.).


 Continuously engage with the client to understand the business need and develop

solution- oriented plans.


 Business development of Farmer Producer Organizations, Value Chain development in

agriculture and allied sector, develop business models, marketing plans for Agri business

and execute them.


 Preparation of concept note, report writing and business plans for registered FPOs.


 Brand building of the FPOs through regularly attending seminars, workshops and other

industry specific events and programmes.


 Conduct analysis in order to find new markets opportunities and business in line with

the FPOs areas of interest.


Location: Guwahati


Experience and Qualifications: M.sc Agriculture/Horticulture.


 Ideally, more than 4-5 years of work experience working in agriculture sector, and in

business development with good communication and writing skills.


 Ability to coordinate with the team, handle team across north east, Presentation skills.


 Communicate and well versed with govt. officials, Participate in review meetings with

different agencies on behalf of company.
