Procurement Officer - Job Description

The Procurement Officer will oversee the procurement and distribution of the Academy equipment, supplies, and services.

Responsibilities:

• Drafts and/or reviews supply and service specifications.
• Evaluates bids, ensuring compliance with departmental and company policies and procedures.
• Distributes purchasing information to involved parties.
• Reviews and evaluates purchase request forms for accuracy and completeness.
• Gathers, records, and completes purchase data.
• Completes other related projects as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Thorough understanding of purchasing procedures and policies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain policies and procedures used in purchasing.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or Tally software.
• Support procurement activities based on product specifications and customer needs.
• Support finance department to process payment to sellers.
• Track statuses of purchase orders based on organisational procedures.
• Understanding of the global market.
• Strong negotiation skills.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree
• At least 5-6 years of experience in related field required.
