As a Steel Structure Billing Engineer, you will be responsible for accurately billing steel structures, executed in infrastructure projects, ensuring that project work billing is done as per the agreed time schedule with the Client. Your expertise in steel structure engineering (such as knowing about various light, medium and heavy structural sections viz. ISMC, ISMB, ISA, Box Section etc., knowledge about per meter weight of such structural elements etc), ability to accurately read the steel structure drawings, knowledge about billing practices will be essential in ensuring the success of the project billing.

Structure Billing engineer should be conversant with the following stuff:

1. Fit up plan or Fit out plan

2. ⁠Fabrication plan

3. ⁠Erection plan

4. ⁠Structural sections, their per meter weight, especially, for medium and heavy structural

5. ⁠Site fabrication and erection

6. ⁠Rates of steel structural works

6. ⁠Working out weights from drawings and bill of materials etc.

He should be experienced to handle things alone and independently.
