Job Objective

Ensure that Dry Cargo Operations Viz. Stack yard Management, Railway Operations, HEME utilization, interacting operations & Vessel Operations are in line with Organisation’s goals with focus on cost saving and service delivery.

Strategic Roles & Responsibilities

1. Proper utilization of dumpers and equipment’s to minimize cost/mt for shifting as well as equipment usage.

2. Proper planning at yard in co-ordination with rake planning to minimise stoppages during vessel discharging.

3. Preventing mixing up of different grades of cargo of same/different customer.

4. Preventing contamination of cargo with foreign materials in yard as well as during rake loading.

5. Responsible for GDR & GLR wrt Conditions of Contract.

6. Finalising Stack yard management plan and plan of cargo evacuation from mechanized plot to achieve set target by management as per the direction.

7. Minimize Rake Demurrage, Dead freight & Punitive.

Operational Responsibilities

1. Optimization of Earth Moving Equipment’s

2. Initiate meetings with O&M relating to equipment status prior loading/discharging ops.

3. Reconciliation of stacks at Dahej of various customer on regular basis

4. Processing of bills, raising PR as per the requirement of services, goods, follow up payment process for the vendors, etc.

5. Co-ordinating field visits of customers.

6. Avoidance of financial losses on account of non-achievement of GDR & GLR

7. Cost control and prevention of any financial losses arising out of cargo contamination & mix up.

8. Cost savings arising out of reduction in variable equipment hires.

Educational Qualification:

BE / B. Tech / Any Graduate (Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Instrumentation) &

MBA (Operation / Maritime Management / Shipping & Logistics)

Experiences:

5-12 years in Yard Operation in any Port/ CHP etc.

Reporting to HOS / HOD
