Job Overview

We are seeking a mid-level Design Engineer specializing in solar systems to join our team in Pune. This is a full-time position for candidates with 4 to 6 years of experience. The role involves working on solar PV system design and collaborating in integration projects within the commercial and industrial sectors. Essential skills include expertise in Solar PV System Design and proficiency in AutoCAD.

Qualifications and Skills

• Extensive experience in solar PV system design, contributing to successful commercial and industrial projects, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for generating and understanding technical drawings and design schematics for solar power systems (Mandatory skill).
• Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles applicable to solar power integration and energy conversion processes.
• Skilled in project management, managing timelines, resources, and project deliverables in solar power projects with a focus on quality and deadlines.
• In-depth understanding of solar energy mechanics and technologies, fostering innovation and adaptation in project execution.
• Experienced in using PVsyst software for solar power simulation, yield prediction, and system loss analysis.
• Adept in Sketch Up for creating 3D modeling and visualizing solar installations in realistic settings to assist stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and develop solar photovoltaic systems by creating technical designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers and clients, to align solar design projects with business goals and client needs.
• Utilize AutoCAD to draft detailed design plans and schematics for the installation and implementation of solar projects.
• Conduct site assessments and gather essential data to inform design decisions and ensure feasibility and safety of installations.
• Coordinate project timelines, manage resources effectively, and oversee implementation phases to ensure timely project completion.
• Perform system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting during and post-implementation to ensure optimal system performance.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in solar power and incorporate innovative solutions into project designs.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for project proposals, design changes, and post-project analysis.
