Title: Purchase Executive (Mechanical Engineering Background)

Responsibilities:

  1. Source, negotiate, and procure materials and services required for projects and operations.
  2. Manage vendor relationships, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance.
  3. Analyze market trends, conduct supplier evaluations, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  4. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to determine purchasing needs and specifications.
  5. Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and enhance efficiency.
  6. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
  7. Resolve procurement-related issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.
  8. Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project timelines and objectives.
  10. Utilize technical expertise in mechanical engineering to assess product specifications and suitability.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  2. Proven experience as a Purchase Executive or similar role, preferably in the engineering or manufacturing industry.
  3. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Solid understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and vendor evaluation.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
  6. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Attention to detail and analytical mindset.
  8. Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and materials is advantageous.
  9. Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
  10. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
