Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Patient Assessment: Evaluate patients with respiratory issues by performing diagnostic tests and reviewing medical histories.
2. Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients based on their specific needs and conditions.
3. Therapy Administration: Administer therapies such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
4. Ventilator Management: Operate and monitor mechanical ventilators and other life support equipment.
5. Emergency Response: Provide immediate care during emergency situations, such as cardiac arrests or acute respiratory distress.
6. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatment plans, and preventive measures.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
8. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient treatments, progress, and outcomes.
9. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all respiratory therapy equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
