Key Responsibilities/Job Duties
- Responsible for sourcing and purchasing of electronic/Mechanical components and consumable items for existing project.
- Material Planning & Procurement from Global and Domestic Sources to achieve production target.
- Selection and evaluation of new Vendors for NPI – Overseas & Domestic
- Negotiate with vendors for cost effective purchase, reduction in delivery time and quality control. Conceptualized and implemented strategies for enhancing operational efficiency, cost control and improvement in bottom-line performance.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and monitored the quality of all the incoming materials.
- Payment follow-ups with finance to make sure the vendors get their payment in times to avoid material delays.
- Responsible for handing over the required custom documents and clearing the imported goods.
- Co-ordination with local logistics to deliver the materials on time.
- Responsible for import of equipment’s and components by coordinating with supplier, freight forwarder, custom duty evaluation, custom clearance and other related issues.
- Responsible for re-export of defective equipment’s within warranty by producing import related documents like BOE, TR6 challan, GR waiver etc. To customs.
- Responsible for re-export shipment.
- Preparing weekly, monthly summary reports & cycle count reports.
- Work order releasing to shop floor.
- Customer BOM Consolidation.
- Get Quotes from Multiple Vendors and Compare. Execute NDA and RFQ.
- Placing PO for Project items, Clearance without demurrage.
- Sourcing and Procurement of Materials for Project.
- Maintain uninterrupted material flow as per Production Demand.
- Periodic Purchase Reports to Management.
- Prepare SO and RFQ
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor's degree / Diploma in electronics/Electrical Engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in electronic manufacturing services.
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in material/sourcing/purchasing department.
- Continuous Improvement experience including demonstrated success in implementing.
- Good understanding electronic components
- Good knowledge on RoHS and Non-RoHS (Restricted the use of Hazardous Substances) parts.
- Knowledge on Quality standards Like IS0-9001, AS 9100, NADCAP.
- Knowledge on PTH and SM technology.
- Experience in working with other department such as, Quality production, engineering to satisfy customers.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills appropriate for direct interaction with vendor. Must know local language.
- Good computer skills in MSO office applications.
- Good Knowledge on ERP system.
Critical competencies: Customer Focus, Managing and Measuring work.
Experience Preferred:
Experience with electronic electrical, and electro – mechanical components for aerospace and defence manufacturing with an emphasis on vendor development, sourcing and purchasing.
